Following a decision by the Council to refurbish the Loughborough Road playground, a questionnaire was circulated to the children attending Christchurch and St Peters Primary School in the village to ascertain the types of play equipment that they would like to see incorporated into the refurbished playground. The Chairman of the Parish Council also attended the school to speak to the pupils about the project.
There is an exhibition of the options the Council are considering for the proposed refurbishment of the Loughborough Road Play Area in the foyer of the Memorial Centre. Residents are invited to view these and fill out the questionnaire stating their option preference. It should be noted that not all the options on display are within the current budget set aside by the Council of £40,000.
The exhibition will be in the Centre for a period of 7 days following which it will be taken to the Primary School for the children to have their say.
